HelpYour Omxus account

A site you use moved to Omxus sign-in

Some sites that already had accounts switch to Omxus for signing in. If the site brought your account across, you can keep signing in with the same email address and password.

Your first sign-in

  1. Sign in with your email address and your password for that site, as usual.
  2. If you see "Confirm your password to finish moving your account", enter the same password again.

That's all. Your account now works like any Omxus account, on that site and every other site that uses Omxus.

Why does the screen ask for my password again?

Omxus normally never receives your password. Your device scrambles it before sending, so we only ever see the scrambled result.

The site you used before stored your password a different way. To move your account safely, we check your password against the site's old record one time. Then we delete the old record and keep only the Omxus form. After this, your password never leaves your device again.

What the site keeps

The site can still link your new sign-in to the things you already have there, like lists, settings or purchases, and to any role you had, like moderator. Only that site sees those details.

Consider these next steps

  • Add a passkey so you can sign in with one press.
  • If you used the same password on other sites, change it to one you use only here.

Need more help?

Ask the site you were signing in to about its own service. For your Omxus account, try these next steps.
