Create an Omxus account

You create an Omxus account from the sign-in screen of any site that uses Omxus. It takes a minute, and the account then works on every site that offers Omxus.

Step 1: Start from a site

1. On the site, select Sign in.
2. Select Create account.

Step 2: Enter your details

1. Enter your email address, or select Use mobile and enter your mobile number. You need one of them, because that's where we send your codes.
2. Choose your username. Learn about usernames.
3. Create a password of at least 8 characters, and select Create.

You're signed in straight away. Once you're in, you can save a passkey so next time is one press.

Step 3: Verify your email or mobile

We send a 6-digit code to the address you entered. Type it in on the Confirm your email or Confirm your phone number screen. You can select Later and confirm another time, but until you do, some sites hold back things like posting or commenting. Learn about verifying.

Step 4: Save a passkey (optional)

After you sign in with a password, the site may show Sign in faster and offer once to save a passkey. With a passkey, next time is one press. Select Not now to skip it.

Fix problems

The screen said my password has appeared in a data breach

Before a new password leaves your device, the sign-in screen checks it against a public list of passwords exposed in past breaches. Only a short, partial fingerprint of the password is sent for this check, never the password. If it's on the list, choose a different one. Learn more.

The username I want is taken

Usernames that look alike count as the same name, so Luna_Cos, lunacos and LUNA.C0S can't belong to different people. Some names, like admin or support, are reserved. Try adding a word or a number.

I didn't get a code

Wait a minute, then check your spam or junk folder. You can ask for a new code. More tips.

Texts aren't working, so I can't sign up with my mobile

If you see "Texts aren't working yet. Use email for now.", sign up with your email address instead.

I already have an account with this address

Signing up again with the same address doesn't change your existing account. We send a note to that address saying someone tried to sign up with it. If that was you, sign in with a code instead.
