Sign in with a one-time code

You can sign in with a 6-digit code sent to the email address or mobile number on your account. You don't need a password.

Sign in with a code

1. On the site, select Sign in.
2. Enter your email address or mobile number and select Next.
3. Select Try another way, then Get a verification code.
4. Enter the code from your email or text.

Good to know

• Each code works for 10 minutes and allows 5 tries.
• Asking for a new code replaces the last one.
• The screen always says a code was sent, whether or not the address has an account. This stops strangers finding out which addresses use Omxus.
• Signing in with a code also verifies your email or mobile.
• To protect accounts from floods of messages, we limit how many codes go to one address, and from one network, in a short time.

Is a code as safe as a password?

A code proves you can read messages at your email or mobile, so it's as safe as that inbox or phone. Protect your email with a strong password, and your phone with a screen lock. For the strongest protection, add a passkey.
