Change or reset your password

You can change your password any time, or reset it with a code if you forgot it. Your password protects your Omxus account on every site that uses it.

Change your password

1. On a site that uses Omxus, open your account settings and choose to change your password.
2. Confirm it's you with your current password or a code. If you signed in within the last 10 minutes, you can skip this step.
3. Enter a new password of at least 8 characters.

Reset a forgotten password

1. On the password screen, select Forgot password?.
2. Enter the code we send to your email or mobile.
3. On Create a new password, enter and confirm your new password, then select Save.

What happens after you change it

• Every other device and site signs out. The device you're using stays signed in.
• The change appears in your account activity.
• If you use a password manager, update the password saved there.

Choosing the new password

Use a password you don't use anywhere else. The screen checks new passwords against passwords exposed in past data breaches and asks for a different one if there's a match. Tips for a strong password.

Can Omxus tell me my current password?

No. Your device scrambles your password before it's sent, and we scramble the result again before storing it. We never have your password, so nobody at Omxus can read it or tell you what it is.
