HelpSigning in

Sign in on a device that isn't yours

If you sign in on a computer, phone or tablet that other people use, like one at a library or a friend's phone, take a few extra steps so nobody else can use your account after you.

Use a private window

  1. Open a private or guest window in the browser. Each browser names it differently, such as Incognito, InPrivate or Private Browsing.
  2. Go to the site and sign in.
  3. When you finish, sign out of the site, then close every private window.

Closing a private window clears what the site saved in that window, including your sign-in.

Don't save a passkey or password there

If the device offers to save a passkey or remember your password, say no. A passkey saved on someone else's device lets that device sign in as you.

If you forgot to sign out

From your own device, see where you're signed in and sign out of that device. If you think someone saw your password, change it.

Need more help?

Ask the site you were signing in to about its own service. For your Omxus account, try these next steps.
