Fix problems with codes
Most code problems fix themselves in a minute or two. Work through these steps in order.
You didn't get a code
- Wait a minute. Emails and texts can arrive late, especially on a busy network.
- Check spam and junk. Look for a message from noreply@omxus.com. Mark it as not spam so the next one arrives in your inbox.
- Check what you typed. A mobile number without a country code is read as an Australian number. Add your country code, like +44 or +1, if your number is from somewhere else.
- Ask for a new code. Only the newest code works.
Messages you might see
"That code has expired. Ask for a new one."
Codes work for 10 minutes. Ask for a new code and enter it soon after it arrives.
"That code isn't right."
Check you're using the newest code. After 5 wrong tries, the code stops working and you need a new one.
"Too many tries. Wait 15 minutes and try again."
We limit how many codes and tries one address or network can use in 15 minutes. It protects accounts from people guessing codes. Wait 15 minutes, then try again.
"Texts aren't working yet. Use email for now."
We can't send texts at the moment. Use an email address instead.
"We couldn't send the code. Try again shortly."
Something went wrong on our side while sending. Try again in a few minutes. If you see "Email isn't working yet. Try again later.", sending email is paused on our side for now.
"This account has no email or mobile to send a code to"
This account signs in another way, like a passkey or your name, date of birth and secret words. Use that way instead.
